What Is A Landfill?
Down below shows a diagram of a landfill. As you can see in the part
labeled "K" is the leachate pond. Leachate ponds are collections of toxic
liquid known as leachate that drain from a landfill. Leachate, a mix of toxic
chemicals, is created when rain water is mixed with the chemicals in the trash
of a landfill and proceeds into the pond.
